SK METHOD OF BODYEDUCATION

The SK Method is a system of exercises and techniques for dancers of all dance styles. It works on the essentials of the human anatomy and movement, breath, strenght, control, relaxation, centering and gravity. The SK Method is the result of Sten´s own dance education, nearly 30 years of teaching experience with dancers of all styles, levels and ages as well as his work as a 2nd Generation Pilates Mastertrainer. It is a perfect system for dancers of all dancestyles to improve technique, dance safety, body awarness and performance. Sten teaches this highly effective method for competition dancers, professionals and teachers in masterclasses, workshops and teacher eduation seminars.

FLOOR ESSENTIALS

This class shows the fundamentals of floorwork. Sten shows you how to use gravity, bodyweight, relaxation, contraction & release and breathing to form organic transitions from standing to floor, floor to standing and fluid movements on the floor. Learn how floorwork can smooth and effortless. This class ist based on the SK Method of Body Education by Sten Kuth and incooperates Elements of the Laban System and the Bartenieff Fundamentals. The class is suitable for dancers in Contemporary, Modern, Neo Classical, Lyrical, Showdance, Musical Theatre, JazzDance and Acrobatics and can also be interesting for Urban and Commercial Dancers.

IMPROVE YOUR TURNOUT

How to improve your turnout as well as a clearer and safer parallel? How to incooperated the hips, the core and the tights to control turn out and parallel without creating danger for the knees and ankles? Sten´s SK Method of Body Education uses Elements of Pilates, Stretching, Yoga, Classical and ModernDance to teach you this. You also learn a series of easy exercises that you can incooperate easily into you daily routne to achieve a great effect on you dancing technique. The class is suitable for dancers in Contemporary, Modern, Neo Classical, Lyrical, Showdance, Musical Theatre, JazzDance and Acrobatics and can also be interesting for Urban and Commercial Dancers.

PERFECT FEET

Perfect footwork is essential for a good dance performance and good footwork is not only about pointing your feet well. It´s als about flexing, rolling the sole, using all ankles and several parts of the foot, creating a balanced contact to the floor. Are you standing correctly, pointing and flexing with the right muscles and ankles? Are your feet healthy, strong and flexible enough for the daily training and your stage performances? We will work on all of that. You learn exercises to strengthen and stretch your feet, get more awareness for the foot anatomy and keneticts, as well as exercises to relax you feet after training and performance. The class is suitable for dancers in Contemporary, Modern, Neo Classical, Lyrical, Showdance, Musical Theatre, JazzDance and Acrobatics and can also be interesting for Urban and Commercial Dancers.

DEFEAT GRAVITY (The perfect Jump)

Jumping in dance is the art of defeating gravity. To perform high, long and wide jumps you need proper control, precision and strength. A perfect jump needs a proper preperation and a controled landing. In this Masterclass Sten teachings you how to use the right muscles and ankles and how to strengthen and lengthen them correctly. The class is suitable for dancers in Contemporary, Modern, Neo Classical, Lyrical, Showdance, Musical Theatre, JazzDance and Acrobatics and can also be interesting for Urban and Commercial Dancers.

SPIN, TURN and TWIRL (Improve you Turns)

Perfect Turns always need good posture, alighment, preperation,focus and a controled head spot. During this class we only want to focus on how to turn better, safer and more precise. The class is suitable for dancers in Contemporary, Modern, Neo Classical, Lyrical, Showdance, Musical Theatre, JazzDance and Acrobatics.

STRENGTH FLOW

Strength Flow is a MindBody Trainingssystem created by Sten Kuth in 2004. It combines Yoga, Pilates and Danceexercise into a fluent training for Strength, Awarenes, Flexibility and Control. It is a perfect workout for dancers of all dance styles, ages and level. You can use it as a warm up as well as a stand alone total body workout in addition to you regular dance training.

FLOW FLEXIBILITY

Flow Flexibility ist a 60 Minute masterclass for flexibility, relaxation and body awareness. It combines Stretching, Mobilisation, Yoga and Tai JI inspired movements into very fluent system of exercises and movements. Flow Flexibility is a perfect programm dancers of all level and dancestyle to add to the regular dance training.

PORT DE BRAS –  The Art of Arms, Neck, head and shoulders

The choreography of the arms is an important part of dancing. Proper armpositions and arm motions are essental for preperation, balance, expression and posture. Important is the correct line of arms, shoulders and neck and mostly to move the arms from the shoulder not with the shoulder. This class will show you how to improve your port de bras. The class is suitable for dancers in Contemporary, Modern, Neo Classical, Lyrical, Showdance, Musical Theatre, JazzDance and Acrobatics and can also be interesting for Urban and Commercial Dancers.

CORE AND CENTERING

Every Movement starts in the center of the body. A strong core is essential for a good posture, correct alighment of the spine, the head and all ankle of the body. A strong coe gives your back the support he needs during dance and the core is the base for your balance in all body positions. This program is based on Pilates, Floor Barre and proprioceptive Training to enhance core stabiity, balance and contro of the center. The trainng is uitable for all dancestyles and level.
